Spoiler Warning for Spider-Man No Way HomeSpider-Man No Way Home is filled with fantastic moments, but one of the brightest of them all is Jamie Foxx's No Way Home, Tom Holland's Peter Parker runs into Electro after he's ordered to track down all of the villains breaking in from other universes. Electro is found next to a power line structure in the middle of a forest, leading to one of the showcase action scenes of the film. In this fight, Electro bursts onto the scene, absorbing energy from nearby power lines. He starts firing lightning bolts at Spider-Man as he tries to navigate web-swinging through a dark forest. Eventually, Sandman enters the scene and bails Spider-Man out, before Spider-Man is able to overload Electro and eventually capture him. The visual effects in this scene really demonstrate a stark contrast between light and dark, as Electro's attacks are the only radiance in an otherwise pitch black Spider-Man No Way Home Team Who Made Electro Cool’ AgainElectro is portrayed as pure energy in this scene, only becoming recognizable as Jamie Foxx after the fight is over. The new realization of the character is bright, bold, and more memorable than before. Since this fight is the introduction of Electro in No Way Home, the version of the character we see here is more raw than we see in the rest of the movie, and that was an important concept the filmmakers wanted to nail."We were obviously picking up from the end of The Amazing Spider-Man 2, and Electro's kind of thrust into this world and he's barely hanging on as we see him," said Brendan Seals, the Visual Effects Supervisor for the Melbourne Luma Pictures Office. "He's pure energy, he's in an electrical form, he's certainly not in a fully fledged form when Spider-Man discovers him in the forest. And so that activation of Electro's energy after Spider-Man shoots the Doctor Strange magic web is what kind of activates that hue change."Foxx's Electro in No Way Home is practically unrecognizable compared to his appearance in The Amazing Spider-Man 2. In his first appearance, his entire body was blue, with the sense that the electricity was bubbling within him. Fans weren't keen on the design, and critics were hard on the character too. In IGN's own review of The Amazing Spider-Man 2, we wrote, "[Y]ou never genuinely feel the sympathy towards Electro the film wants you to – he’s a far cry from Alfred Molina’s tragic genius, Doc Ock. Foxx is fine, but the role is misused, the depiction too brash, and he's saddled with one or two cringe-worthy lines that would be more at home in a superhero film from the mid-Nineties." Electro just didn't work in that film — from his design, to his characterization, to his dialogue. So, the filmmakers behind No Way Home had to completely rewire the character into a flashier, punchier, and more
 well
electric character. Enter Luma Pictures. Based in both Australia and Los Angeles, Luma got its start working on Underworld and Charlie’s Angels Full Throttle. Luma would find its way into the MCU with Captain America The First Avenger after working on a slew of superhero films, going on to provide key scenes and visual effects assets for movies like Captain America Civil War, Thor Ragnarok, and the entire Tom Holland Spider-Man Spider-Man No Way Home, Luma was tasked with redesigning Electro, which effectively meant starting over from scratch."For our sequence, it was really about the pre-Jamie Foxx state," Seals said. "So he is fully energy form, surface energy, and certainly not subsurface or internal energy like we saw in [The Amazing Spider-Man 2]. We designed it from the ground up from scratch. And that was a really fun process with lots of ideas and lots of exploration."The first step was to fix Electro's design and make his look more in line with the classic design. Electro is one of the wall crawler's most famous villains, and his design in The Amazing Spider-Man 2 didn't match what fans have come to expect. In No Way. In many comic iterations, Electro is surrounded by crackling electricity, with a star-shaped mask made of lightning bolts surrounding his face. Marvel and Luma wanted to give fans that nostalgia for the comics in this worked closely with Director Jon Watts and other Marvel team members on brainstorming ideas for how Electro's look in his introductory fight scene could convey pure energy. The research went pretty deep, from looking into the functions of the human body, to creating a philosophy about how his energy should behave from moment to moment."The big basis for the design was based on the directionality of muscle fibers and skeletal flow of the bones, and because his energy is almost in a deteriorated state, in that we've picked him up from the [endpoint] of what many thought was his death in The Amazing Spider-Man 2. There's almost this short lifespan idea, in that his energy doesn't last long. He hasn't gathered enough energy yet to ultimately become the character we see in the rest of the film. So the idea is the energy is quick, it's staccato, it's punctuated, but it doesn't last long, so he needs to stay localized to and near the power lines to continue to draw energy and continue to build up his power over the course of the sequence."The new Electro needed to refresh his power, as if his energy was recycling itself. Not only did keeping Electro tethered to the power lines work from a conceptual character standpoint, it also served as the building block for the entire fight between Peter, Electro, and eventually Sandman. But, however cool Electro's new design may look, another consideration is to make sure the villain doesn't become too powerful. Seals says one of the important elements of crafting a compelling fight scene is placing limits on the villains to give our hero a chance to prevail."You've got to be mindful in the design process that you don't come up with so many abilities or lack of constraints that it seems like Spider-Man would have just no hope of beating him," Seals said. "In other words, Electro can't move too far away from the power lines because then he won't have his power source any longer. So he was, in a way, tethered to those power lines, meaning he couldn't go as far as Spider-Man could."The results speak for themselves. In an interview with Marvel during No Way Home's release week, Foxx himself praised the filmmakers on the work they did to make Electro cool again, saying the character now has "a little hipness to him.""That was the whole team," Foxx said. "A whole Spider-Man team on how to make this guy cool. How do we make him impactful, but make him a little more grounded? When he acquired some [abilities], it really made sense in the way he was able to project himself."In our Spider-Man No Way Home review, we said Foxx's Electro helped drive the heartfelt empathy at the core of the movie — a complete turnaround from the core issues with the character in The Amazing Spider-Man 2. And, No Way Home is now a nominee for the Oscars' Visual Effects award."These are films that a lot of us have grown up with and a lot of artists working in the industry are in the industry because of these films. To be able to work on the characters of these series that have such nostalgia attached to them
it's a real pleasure. To reinvent them, and bring them together
and know the joy that's gonna bring to audiences today, that's a real joy for us."For more on Spider-Man No Way Home, check out what Tom Holland is saying about the world's reactions to the movie. PrĂ©venirl’électro accablante. Dans une interview avec IGN, l’artiste Brendan Seals, le responsable des impacts visuels pour le Melbourne Luma Pictures Offical, a rĂ©vĂ©lĂ© comment Marvel Studios et leur groupe VFX ont collaborĂ© pour Ă©viter de submerger l’électro de Jamie Foxx dans Spider-Man : No Other Way Home.
NĂ©anmoins, ici Cordella a gardĂ© l’éclair bleu d’Electro depuis ses dĂ©buts dans The Amazing Spider-Man 2.

Home Movies Superhero Image credit Sony Pictures/Marvel Studios The Spider-Man No Way Home ending has everyone asking a lot of questions. There's just so much to unpack through the movie's runtime, especially with all the various characters and crossovers – it takes a multiversal mastermind to pick up on absolutely everything that happens. First up, there are Spider-Man's most troublesome villains have all come to the MCU thanks to Doctor Strange's spell gone wrong. Then... well, let's not talk about that up here. There's a lot to get into, and we've broken down all the biggest twists, turns, and cameos in the below guide to the Spider-Man No Way Home ending. We are, of course, going to be dealing with major Spider-Man spoilers! We're going deep on the biggest questions you have, first explaining the basic plot points that may have been confusing, and then going into detail on those surprise cameos. Again, spoilers are ahead! The Spider-Man No Way Home ending explainedImage credit SonyAfter his identity is revealed to the world, Peter Parker struggles with his newfound fame. The young soon-to-be-ex-highschooler visits Doctor Strange, hoping the former Sorcerer Supreme Wong now has that handle after Strange disappeared in the Blip will cast a spell to make the world forget that he is Spider-Man. However, things go wrong as Peter messes with the spell while Strange casts it, causing the multiverse to rip, dragging in everyone from other universes who *do* know that Peter Parker is and Strange go round up the villains who have appeared in the MCU – Doctor Octopus, Electro, Lizard, Sandman, and a seemingly friendly Green Goblin – and Strange decides to send them back to their universes by undoing the initial spell neatly trapped in a box. There’s a catch, though when they return to their original universes, they will die. Parker’s moral conscience won’t allow that. He takes the box from Strange, locks the wizard in the Mirror Dimension, and takes the villains to Happy’s apartment where Parker can try and cure the Sinister Five of their evil superpowers – the hope being that, by doing so, when they return to their respective universes, they will no longer die because they are no longer bad. Things do not go as planned. Doctor Octopus has his inhibitor chip restored but Green Goblin turns sour. They all escape and Gobbers ends up killing Aunt May with his hovercraft. Before she dies, though, she manages to give Uncle Ben’s classic “with great power comes great responsibility” speech. Cue tears. Parker goes missing, his heart broken. Meanwhile, best friend Ned uses Doctor Strange’s portal-maker finger-thing to search for Parker but finds
the wrong Peter Parker. Turns out, not just villains were brought into the MCU Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire’s web-heads are here, too. Together with MJ, they quickly manage to find Tom Holland’s Parker and the trio set about creating cures for the the three Spider-brainiacs quickly cracking how to help the four remaining evil-doers, they lure the villains to the newly shielded Statue of Liberty. There, they manage to turn Lizard back into a man, de-sand Sandman, and unplug Electro. All that remains is Green Goblin. Holland’s Parker goes one-on-one with Osbourne, and almost kills him, but Maguire’s Parker steps in, only to get stabbed by the Goblin. Holland’s Parker is then flung the cure by Garfield’s Parker, injects Goblin with it, and his aggressive toxins disappear, leaving a broken Norman Oscbourne the same time, Strange has broken free from the Mirror Dimension, and Holland’s Parker asks him to undo everything with a spell – one that will make the world forget who Peter Parker is. Strange somewhat reluctantly agrees, casts the spell, and the multiverse-men are all sent back to their worlds. However, MJ and Ned forget Parker’s existence, and after Parker visits MJ and sees that she’s OK, he decides not to reintroduce himself properly. Parker rents an apartment in New York and goes about being a friendly neighborhood a tiny bit more the Spider-Man No Way Home post-credits scene sees Tom Hardy’s Venom talking to a barman played by Ted Lasso’s Cristo FernĂĄndez about the universe he has been transported to. He’s in disbelief at Thanos and Hulk and Iron Man. Then, poof, Doctor Strange’s "undo" spell kicks in and Venom’s sent back to the Sony-verse – but a speck of the Venom symbiote remains behind. Oh, and there’s a second post-credit scene that’s essentially a Doctor Strange 2 trailer. More on that are Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield in No Way Home?Image credit SonyThe secret everyone saw coming Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield are in Spider-Man No Way Home. The duo are, like the villains, brought into the MCU because Doctor Strange’s spell goes wrong, leading to everyone who knows that Peter Parker is Spider-Man throughout the multiverse being brought into this single there could have potentially been dozens of other Peter Parkers wandering around the world – Ned only happens to call on two Peter Parkers, but what if there were others all over? We will unfortunately never know, as Doctor Strange sent all the multiverse-men packing back to their universes. It’s also worth noting that Maguire’s Parker seemingly walks off that stab wound pretty easily, so we can assume he’s safely back home with his Mary Jane. And hopefully Garfield’s back home, too, with a renewed sense of faith in the were the villains still young when the Peters were older?Image credit SonyThere are a few multiversal inconsistencies in No Way Home that the movie attempts to rectify, but you may have missed the explanations. First, there’s Jamie Foxx’s Electro who’s suddenly really suave, despite the villain being a dorky tech-nerd in The Amazing Spider-Man 2. Apparently, the electrical energy in the MCU feels different, imbuing him with a new there’s the fact that Green Goblin and Doctor Octopus are the same age as when they were killed in Spider-Man and Spider-Man 2, respectively. Alfred Molina – who plays Otto Octavius – is even de-aged using CGI. Conversely, Maguire’s Peter Parker has aged appropriately as the actor has gotten older. Why? This comes down to the idea that the villains were snapped up from their universes just before they die. This version of Doctor Octopus is, for instance, taken from moments before his final death in Spider-Man 2, when he has one of his metal hands around Maguire’s Parker’s neck. Norman Osborne, meanwhile, is taken from just before he impales himself using his own glider in Spider-Man. However, Maguire’s Parker seemingly comes from the current moment as he has not died and is just living out his life post-Sam Raimi's trilogy. Garfield’s Parker is also taken from the current moment just on an alternate timeline. Hence why they have aged, while the villains were frozen in time from the moment before they is Venom in the MCU?Image credit Sony PicturesNow, here’s a multiversal inconsistency that’s not explained in a straightforward way. Tom Hardy’s Venom shows up in the Spider-Man No Way Home post-credits scene, having been transported into the MCU – which we already knew had happened because of the Venom 2 post-credits scene. But why was Venom transported over to the MCU when he did not know that Peter Parker was Spider-Man? We may have an answer to the symbiote, has hive-mind powers. During the post-credits scene for Venom 2, the alien offers to give his host, Eddie Brock, knowledge of his own past. "80 billion light-years of hive knowledge across universes would explode your tiny little brain," Venom says. Apparently, Venom has multiversal knowledge, though this all remains a little confusing. Hopefully, the inevitable release of Venom 3 will offer some answers – and have Venom asking more questions about is Electro in the MCU?Image credit Sony Pictures/Marvel StudiosAnother multiversal inconsistency how is Electro in the MCU when he seemingly doesn't know that Spider-Man is Peter Parker? Throughout the events of The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Electro remained oblivious to the truth. The villain even makes a reference to hoping the man under the mask was Black – a hint towards Miles Morales more on him later – which implies he really didn't know Peter was Spider-Man. How comes he's been transported to the MCU, then? This is one plot hole that has yet to be answered. What happened to the multiverse characters?Image credit Sony Pictures/Marvel StudiosGreen Goblin, Lizard, Electro, Sandman, and Doctor Octopus are all cured of their villainy by the Spider-Man No Way Home ending. When they are sent back to their respective universes after Doctor Strange casts a new spell, the Spider-Men hope that – thanks to the five villains no longer being evil – they will not cause any more havoc and therefore will not die in their few things to note Lizard, Green Goblin, and Electro should all now survive their ultimate fates after being cured by the three Spider-Men. However, Doc Ock actually does save New York from his own evil plan – creating a miniature sun in Spider-Man 2 – after having had a change of heart. The unfortunate consequence is that he switches sides too late, and must die alongside his science experiment. Perhaps, thanks to Holland’s Peter’s efforts, Doc Ock will be heroic a little earlier and save the day without having to Sandman Flint Marko just wants to go home to his daughter throughout No Way Home. The villain was never killed in Spider-Man 3, and instead went off into the sunrise after Maguire’s Peter Parker lets him live. Curing Flint stops him from causing any issues in the future, but would not have saved Sandman as Sandman was not going to there’s Maguire and Garfield’s Parkers, who also head back to their own universes. They just go back to doing whatever they were doing – by the sounds of it, Maguire’s Parker is living happily with Mary Jane, while Garfield’s Parker now has a renewed sense of enthusiasm for saving the day having been in a depression after Gwen’s death in The Amazing Spider-Man 2. Finally, we have Venom, who is presumably back in the Sony-verse and away from the MCU for Tom Holland’s Spider-Man still an Avenger? Image credit Disney/MarvelBy the end of No Way Home, everyone – even MJ, Ned, and Happy – have forgotten who Peter Parker is. Yet, as J. Jonah Jameson makes clear, the world still knows that Spider-Man exists. Which means that Spider-Man is a member of the Avengers, it’s just that his teammates don’t know his everyone forget about Peter Parker also acts as an exciting new launch pad for Holland’s Spider-Man. With no more existential worries about potential villains attacking loved ones, Parker swings out of his new apartment to stop local crime in New Tom Holland be in Spider-Man 4? Image credit Sony Pictures/Marvel StudiosTom Holland has remained coy about whether he will return as Spider-Man. "I don't know," Holland told Total Film when asked about playing the character again in the future. "Looking beyond Marvel or Sony, I’m very excited. I just think there are endless opportunities for me to do what I want, and doing what I want might not be in the film industry. It might be completely separate."And while producer Amy Pascal previously said that they were “getting ready to make the next Spider-Man movie with Tom Holland and Marvel”, she has since walked back those comments, saying on the No Way Home premiere’s red carpet "As long as [Holland] wants to make Spider-Man movies, we will make Spider-Man movies
But I'm a producer, and I always think everything's going to work out."If contract negotiations do work out, then there are a few directions the MCU’s version of Spider-Man can go in. First, Spider-Man really is a low-key local neighborhood hero now, and could just swing around New York saving the day. Holland’s Spider-Man is basically in the same situation Maguire's Spider-Man was in during the first Spider-Man movie. Watching him beat criminals and try to win back MJ would be a fun, lower-stakes Marvel there’s the possibility of Holland’s Spider-Man training up someone new namely Miles Morales. We’ve already seen Morales’ uncle, played by Donald Glover, in Spider-Man Homecoming. A new Spider-Man movie with Parker as a mentor figure could send the Spider-Man legacy down a fresh new path. In tandem with that, Holland’s Parker could easily lead a new Avengers group – perhaps the Young Avengers with Kate Bishop and Yelana and Ms. Marvel. There are plenty of happens, though, if Holland does return then he will have a new villain to face...Are there two Venoms now?Image credit SonyTom Hardy’s Venom showing up in the post-credits was hardly a surprise following the Venom 2 post-credits scene. However, seeing the character disappear back to the Sony-verse so suddenly was certainly a shock – and then there’s the fact that a trace of the symbiote was left behind. In other words, we should expect to see Venom attach himself to someone new and cause chaos in the also means there are potentially two versions of Venom, one played by Tom Hardy in the Sony-verse and another portrayed by someone else in the MCU. Who could the symbiote latch onto this time? If Marvel wanted Hardy in the next movie, they could have Venom attach himself to the MCU’s Eddie Brock variant, but that would be more than a little confusing. In the comics, Flash Thompson famously became the superhero Agent Venom, which could be another possibility. After all, Flash is Spider-Man’s biggest fan, and that would create an interesting dynamic between the two answer could be right in front of us. Cristo FernĂĄndez plays the barman who’s talking to Eddie as he disappears. The actor, best known for playing Dani Rojas in Ted Lasso, is a recognisable face to those who have watched the beloved Apple TV Plus show. Merely a nice casting choice for an extra – or does FernĂĄndez have a bigger MCU future ahead of him? Let’s hope so. We demand Venom shouting “Football is life!”Is Charlie Cox playing Daredevil from the Netflix shows in Spider-Man No Way Home?Image credit NetflixOne cameo we have not spoken about is Charlie Cox. We get multiple mentions of the character’s name, Matt, and we see the lawyer use his excellent reflexes to grab a flying brick "I’m a very good lawyer". That means that, yes, this is indeed Matt Murdoch, AKA Daredevil, who was last seen in the apparently still-canon Netflix warning for Hawkeye episode 5! We're touching on what's happened in the Disney Plus show, so skip the rest of this section to avoid with Cox’s reappearance in Spider-Man No Way Home is Vincent D'Onofrio returning as Kingpin in Hawkeye. That means that two key characters from the Daredevil show are now back in the MCU. The question, though, is does that mean the Netflix shows are still canon? Or are these new versions of the same characters? We will no doubt have to see more of them to get a proper Spider-Man No Way Home tie into Loki?Image credit DisneyNo Way Home brought the multiverse to the big-screen, yet Loki already introduced the idea of multiple timelines and universes and variants. At the end of the Loki series on Disney Plus, a female Loki variant, Sylvie, along with a version of Loki plucked from midway through the events of the Avengers, reach the end of time, where He Who Remains played by Jonathan Majors awaits. After some back and forth, something mysterious happens where He Who Remains can no longer see into the future. Sylvie then stabs him, leading to the main timeline breaking down and a version of He Who Remains – called Kang the Conqueror – is seemingly now in charge of the flow of time. You can read more about the Loki ending the multiverse break in Loki or Spider-Man No Way Home? Perhaps the two are linked. That point where He Who Remains cannot see past may very well be the moment Doctor Strange rips apart the multiverse. It’s not entirely clear, but with Tom Hiddleston's Loki rumored to appear in Doctor Strange 2, there could very likely be a that a Doctor Strange 2 trailer at the end? Image credit Marvel StudiosThe second Spider-Man No Way Home post-credits scene was not a classic post-credits scene, but instead a Doctor Strange 2 trailer. Marvel has done similar before, with the post-credits sequence to the first Captain America movie being an Avengers what will happen in Doctor Strange 2? Well, it appears Stephen is dealing with the aftermath of nearly tearing apart the multiverse and needs Wanda to help save the day. The main villain appears to be an alternate version of Strange, known as Supreme Strange, who was seen in the Disney Plus animated show What If
? Doctor Strange 2, then, looks to have major ties to Marvel’s ongoing streaming shows, which will no doubt lead to a whole lot of references for MCU fans to stew dies in Spider-Man No Way Home? Image credit Sony/MarvelAunt May is dead. Marisa Tomei’s version of the character did, however, deliver the “with great power comes great responsibility” speech that we had not heard in the MCU before. That, therefore, leads to another question did Uncle Ben ever give the same speech in the MCU? We had confirmation in What If
? that Ben Parker was a part of Peter’s life, and Peter’s bag in Spider-Men Far From Home had the initials on them. However, Uncle Ben was seemingly not quite as pivotal in Spider-Man’s origins as he was for the other two Peter Parkers, with May being the creator and molder of his conscience this time did they really just reference that meme?Image credit Sony"I’m something of a scientist myself," Norman Osborn famously said in the first Spider-Man movie. And again, here, he delivers the same that Spider-Man pointing meme?! Image credit SonyWhen Ned shouts Peter’s name, he gets all three Spider-Men wondering which one he was talking to – and they all point at each other, just like in that other Spider-Man meme. Unfortunately, Bully Maguire opens in new tab never came out in No Way Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield return as Spider-Man?Image credit Sony We can dream, right? Spider-Man No Way Home leaves the door wide open to multiple possibilities, including a potential return from Maguire or Garfield back as Spider-Man in their own movies. After all, Garfield’s Spidey has a renewed sense of optimism, which makes him prime for a new adventure and perhaps an attempt to find his own MJ. There’s even the possibility that Garfield’s Parker could cross over with Hardy’s Venom, as the two have poofed back to their own universes – and what if they both happen to be in the same world? There’s so much potential, but the bigger question would be whether either Maguire or Garfield would want to return. Maguire seems like the less likely case, having long left the role behind and his version of the character now having a few back problems. Garfield gives a stunning performance in No Way Home and seems more primed for a comeback. Now, let’s all cross our fingers that Sony offers the actor enough money to return as the web-crawler once again for his own biggest Spider-Man No Way Home Easter eggsWill Spider-Man No Way Home be on Disney Plus? How to watch the Spider-Man movies in orderThose are the biggest questions about the Spider-Man No Way Home ending answered. Manyquestions regarding Spider-Man No Way Home remain suspended after watching the film. Among these questions, fans could not help but an inconsistency in the script. Indeed, in the film it is said that the enemies knowing the identity of Spider-Man from the different universes arrive, attracted by the universe of Tom Holland.

PaulO Leary. -. November 21, 2021. Sony Pictures. The Amazing Spider-man 2 is one of the worst rated Spider-man movies. However, that hasn’t stopped the studio from bringing back one of it’s main villains for Spider-man No Way Home. Jamie Foxx will reprise his role as Electro in the upcoming blockbuster but this time he won’t be blue. Home Movies & TV Fan-Made Trailer Imagines First Fight With Jamie Foxx's Electro In Spider-Man No Way Home While fans eagerly await an official Spider-Man No Way Home trailer, one person gives their idea of what to expect from villain Electro. Jamie Foxx as Electro in 'The Amazing Spider-Man 2' Marvel, Sony, Tom Holland, and everyone involved with Spider-Man No Way Home are having a field day trolling fans over any details about the upcoming movie. So much so that one fan has taken their curiosity one step further and created a video imagining what one of the most anticipated moments might look like. Of all the details fans do know surrounding Spider-Man No Way Home, the most mind-blowing may be all the crossover characters from other Spider-Man franchises, both confirmed and rumored. Characters like Willem Dafoe's Green Goblin and Gwen Stacy are still only rumored to potentially show up, but one character fans are guaranteed to see next to Holland is Jamie Foxx's Electro, first seen in The Amazing Spider-Man 2 with Andrew Garfield. The fan-made trailer imagines what life may look like for Peter in No Way Home after his secret identity was revealed to the world at the end of Spider-Man Far From Home. A voiceover announces an official arrest warrant for the wall-crawler while Peter's smiling face is plastered on a jumbo screen on the streets of New York. A much more familiar voice, J. Jonah Jameson, can be heard doing what he does best, criticizing Spider-Man for being a "criminal" before promising that the people of this nation will "squash him like a bug." Right on cue, as if to fulfill this promise, Electro shows up with one question "Remember me?" What makes the video so compelling to watch is that, no, this version of Peter Parker should not remember Electro. This Peter, the result of Marvel and Sony finally decided to share the character, has never met Electro. It's been heavily theorized that No Way Home will finally introduce the Spider-Verse, opening up endless possibilities involving multiple versions of Spider-Man and every supporting character. Fans are clamoring for a first look at what to expect from the hero and villain when they finally meet up. Until an official trailer finally drops, this fan-made video is a fun way to imagine what may be in store for Peter. Jamie Foxx joining the No Way Home cast has also left one larger question unanswered, which is whether or not Garfield's Spider-Man will also appear alongside Holland. While Garfield has adamantly denied any involvement with the film, it's par for the course for actors to deny everything until official trailers drop, or even until the movie releases. The last time Electro fought Garfield's wall-crawler, the villain disappeared but was never officially pronounced or discovered dead. If Garfield is involved in No Way Home, fans may get to see him square off against Electro once again, maybe even with Holland's Spider-Man by his side. Spider-Man No Way Home arrives in theaters on December 17, 2021. Attention SPOILERS !
Electro n’aurait alors rien dit Ă  Harry Osborn. Gwen criant “Peter !”

Maxwell "Max" Dillon, also known as Electro, is one of the two main antagonists alongside the Green Goblin of the 2014 superhero film The Amazing Spider-Man 2. He also serves as the secondary antagonist of the 2021 Marvel Cinematic Universe film Spider-Man No Way Home. He is a former electrical engineer at Oscorp who had idolized Spider-Man, but was transformed into an extremely powerful living electric capacitor after a freak accident, growing power-hungry and obsessed with defeating and killing his idol. 7 years later, he was accidentally transported to a different universe through space and time from a spell performed by Doctor Strange, where he teams up with other supervillains from other worlds, to remain in the Earth-199999 universe and relish in its advanced power. He was portrayed by Jamie Foxx, who also played Bats in Baby Driver. In the Hindi dub, he was voiced by Vivek Oberoi, who also played Kaal in Krrish 3. Biography The Amazing Spider-Man 2 Max Dillon lived his whole life without anybody merely acknowledging his existence. One time, the Manhattan hero Spider-Man saves him from an oncoming hijacked truck on the streets and tells him, "You're my guy. You're my ears and eyes on the street". Being the outcast that Dillon was, he was thrilled to have been acknowledged by somebody, let alone the very famous Spider-Man. As Spider-Man leaves, Dillon starts to believe that he is something of an accomplice to the hero. He goes mad with "love" for Spider-Man, constantly thinking about him and the fact that he could help him in any way. After his mother forgets his birthday, and is told to stay to fix an electrical malfunction Max is placing a large electrical wire into a vent at Oscorp when he is suddenly electrocuted and falls, dragging the wire with him, into a tank full of genetically altered electric eels. They bite him multiple times and the tank shatters from their charge. The genetic transfusion causes Max to become a living electrical generator, surging his body with electricity as he absorbed the charge from the electric eels, turning his skin translucent blue and giving him the power to see and manipulate electricity. After waking up in the morgue, a confused Max is terrified as to what happened to him and finds himself stumbling into the city. After charging up on electricity at Times Square, his strange appearance and abilities accidentally caused a commotion with the police and New York citizens. While frightened at first and trying to reassure everyone that he doesn't want to hurt anyone, he is suddenly stunned to find himself on the Jumbotron and possibly for the first time in his life, is finally having people "see" him. However, when Spider-man tries to keep the peace a sniper fires at Max, causing him to retaliate, and ended up being inadvertently humiliated in Times Square by Spider-Man, Max begins feeling that he is betrayed by love, his family, his job, and pretty much everyone in the world. He wants to rid the world of power so that everyone can feel what he once felt. Electro also feels betrayed by Spider-Man and fights him with his powerful electrical abilities only for the latter to spray him with water and having Max sent to Ravencroft. When Harry Osborn is removed as CEO of Oscorp and was framed for being involved in Dillon's accident, he breaks out Electro from Ravencroft and allies with him to overthrow Donald Menken from the board, in exchange for giving him access to Oscorp's power grid, which he designed. Electro causes a citywide blackout, challenging Spider-Man. However, with the help of Gwen Stacy, Spider-Man defeats Electro at the power plant by overloading his electricity supply by reflecting his power back to him, causing him to violently explode into millions of particles. Marvel Cinematic Universe Spider-Man No Way Home Due to a botched spell by Doctor Strange, Electro was transported to Earth-199999 in the woods near some electric wires, moments before he explodes due to being overloaded with electricity, much to his confusion. The power of the alternate earth's electricity, however, makes him become more enhanced than ever. He promptly faces off against the Spider-Man of Earth-199999, who is defended by an alternate version of Sandman, to which Spider-Man brings down two towers to de-power Electro and send him to be imprisoned in the Sanctum. Being de-powered restores Electro to his physical form and original appearance, much to his surprise. Learning that most of the foes from the other universes would die battling their respective universes' Spider-Man, Peter steals the box that contains the botched spell to cure every one of them and rehabilitate them. Unlike most of the villains, Electro wasn't willing to cure himself due to loving how powerful he feels in this universe, refusing to leave. He has a friendly conversation with Sandman on how they got their powers. He then takes keen interest on the Arc Reactor Tony Stark built, marveled by how powerful it is. Electro then accepts Peter's attempts to cure him, who places a device that would drain most of the electricity from Max's body, but before it nearly completes, the alternate Green Goblin takes control over Norman Osborn's body again and destroys the device, convincing him and Sandman to turn against Spider-Man and return to villainy. Eventually, the other two Spider-Men come and join forces with the Spider-Man of Earth-199999 to face off against all the villains, providing them a tough battle to fight, with Electro not wanting to be cured of his powers and being powered by an Arc Reactor that he'd stolen. Eventually, the alternate Doctor Octopus comes and pretends to help Electro by grabbing the Spider-Men of Earth-96283 and Earth-120703, before revealing his gambit by grabbing Electro, removing his Arc Reactor and replacing it with the device that Peter had created to drain Electro of all of his extra electricity. Feeling powerless and a nobody again, the Spider-Man of Earth-120703 comes to console him, encouraging him to try again in life and redeem himself. After Doctor Strange enacts another spell he made for Peter to make everyone in the universe forget he is Spider-Man, Electro, Lizard and the Spider-Man of Earth-120703 return to their respective universes. Personality In the beginning, Max was an awkward and lonely man who longed to be acknowledged and appreciated by people. He is constantly pushed around by those around him, with his superiors stealing his plans for the new power grid, leaving him to constantly feel powerless. These experiences led to Max repressing a great deal of anger, one instance in which he imagines violently berating his boss for not believing that the power grid’s designs were his and jokingly claiming to be Spider-Man. After Spider-Man saves Max’s life, along with giving him a pep talk to boost his confidence, Max, finally feeling as though someone acknowledges him, begins to idolize him to an almost obsessive level having a shrine dedicated to him in his room. After his transformation into Electro, Max was initially scared and confused, not understanding what was happening to him. Once entering the city, he is mesmerized with the sight of his face broadcasted all over city, believing that now people finally “see” him. This is short-lived as Spider-Man came to help, unintentionally a sniper shoots at Max, causing him to retaliate, and ended up being inadvertently humiliated in Times Square, resulting in all the resentment and rage inside Max to boil over as he attacks his former idol who he thought to betray him. At this point, Max has fully accepted his transformation into Electro, and is no longer the meek man he once was, now boasting a much cockier and more arrogant attitude. He vows to get back at the world who took so much from him, and to show everyone what life will be like feeling powerless and helpless all the time, with only him and no Spider-Man. Upon regaining his human body after being transported to a different universe, Max becomes more stable and calm. However, he begins to crave the energy of the universe he's in. This, along with the urging of the alternate Green Goblin, makes him shake off Peter's idea of a cure for him and fights back. Upon being cured by alternate Doctor Octavius and the Spider-Men, Max becomes saddened by the fact that he has become a nobody again. However, his spirits were lifted by his Idol Webbverse Spider-Man, to whom he exchanged a good conversation and reconcile with. Powers and Abilities Electricity Manipulation Electro possesses the ability to generate bodily electrostatic energy which he can release or harness, after being electrocuted with genetically-modified Oscorp electrical eels. He would later be asked to use a device to drain his excess electrical powers, but would later remove it, before being completely cured of his powers by Otto Octavius. Flight Electro's body was transmuted into pure electrical energy, rendering him virtually weightless and granting him the ability to fly. Teleportation Electro can break down his body into electricity and teleport himself anywhere before reforming himself. Lightning Bolt Projection Electro can blast electrical energy from any part of him. Energy Blast/Projection Electro can channel all of his body's electrical energy, and focus into any part to give out immensely powerful energy projections. Electro can also focus into any part to create devastating electrical blasts that a normal human could not survive. Electrical Absorption Electro can absorb an external electrical power source to recharge his body's energy reserves. Electro can absorb electrical energy that's around him. Electroreception/Electrical Detection By sending an electrical current, Electro can perceive what it hit. Electro's electrical powers grants him certain sensory and manipulative abilities. Electro can override systems and make electrically-powered devices obey his mental commands. He was able to sense the electric difference when he entered a new universe. Electricity Immunity Electro's body is immune to the effects of its electricity and that of other sources as well. Charging Electro can charge himself up to reach high maximum voltage. Exceptional Intelligence Max's intelligence is close to genius levels. He came up with the idea of a power grid, it was such an intelligent idea that his co-workers stole the idea from Max. As well as that, working as Oscorp as an electrical engineer isn't an easy job to land. Due to his knowledge on electricity, Max is able to take full control of an Arc Reactor and make him a major threat to those who stand in his way. Expert Engineer Max was a high-ranking member of Oscorp, his position was an electrical engineer and despite never using an Arc Reactor he was able to master the usage of one. Foxx also stated that the costume for the movie would not be green and yellow, like it is in mainstream comics. Instead, it would have been a sleek black, similar to the "Ultimate Marvel" comics. After being chosen for the role, Foxx stated to Entertainment Tonight that he likes Electro as a character and was excited to play him. This version of Electro is different from his comic book counterpart. In the film, he is sympathetic and has no friends, while in the comics, he was a normal employee who suffered the accident to become Electro. This version of Electro has similarities with the New Animated Series version. Both are portrayed in a sympathetic manner and are social outcasts. Although Foxx did his Electro voice in several interviews, his voice was edited slightly to sound 'electrically distorted'. Electro is the first villain in the Amazing Spider-Man series in which his transformation into the villain is accidental. His appearance in The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is based off of his Ultimate comics incarnation. In Spider-Man No Way Home, the advanced electricity grids of Earth-199999 and the Arc Reactor propel him to a new design that resembles his classic comic book look yellow electricity and his trademark mask, represented by flashing sparkles on his face. In Spider-Man No Way Home upon being cured of his powers, Max expresses disappointment that his Spider-Man wasn't black, then saying "There's gotta be a black Spider-Man out there somewhere", which is possibly a reference to Miles Morales. In Spider-Man No Way Home, Peter told Earth-96283 Peter that Max was "the sweetest guy ever" prior to becoming Electro, showing that even after all the years that passed, Peter never forgot about Electro and the effect his death has on him. Spider-Man: No Way Home»: les théories des fans.
Many questions regarding Spider-Man No Way Home remain suspended after watching the film. Among these questions, fans could not help but an inconsistency in the script. Indeed, in the film it is said that the enemies knowing the identity of Spider-Man from the different universes arrive, attracted by the universe of Tom Holland. Only in The Amazing Spider-Man 2 Electro is unaware that Spider-Man is actually Peter Parker, how did he end up in Spider-Man No Way Home ? We have a few theories that could explain his presence in the film. Electro poster for No Way Home – Credit s Sony Pictures / Marvel Studios Two villains escape this criterion Electro and Tom Hardy’s Venom. Venom has a simple explanation given in Let There Be Carnage all the symbiotes are connected to each other, so Venom knows who Spider-Man is. Jamie Foxx’s Villain has a conversation with Andrew Garfield “Can I tell you something?
You’re from Queens. You have this costume, you help a lot of poor people. I just thought you were black.” However, Electro does not elaborate on his remarks, so one could think either that he discovers the identity of Spider-Man, as many fans imagine, either he was already aware of who he was. This sentence would therefore only be a teaser for Miles Morales and be anecdotal for Max and Peter, that it was the only chance he had to tell him this. Another theory very far-fetched this time involves the final fight between Electro and Andrew Garfield, when Electro manages to electrocute Spider-Man, his atomic composure likely allows him to find out who is under the mask. Unlikely though and slightly far-fetched. An inconsistency in the plot An inconsistency that can bother more than one. Although we don’t have the answer yet, fans continue to unveil their best theories on social media. Moreover, many passages had to be cut during the editing, the film being 2h30 long, some sequences unfortunately went by the wayside. However, we hope to find them again when the DVDs are released, so that we have a little more understanding of the history of No Way Home. Electro is not a new villain in the Spider-Man universe, but he is often one that is overlooked when compared to more prominent villains like Doctor Otto Octavius or The Green Goblin. Despite this, however, he often makes an appearance within the Sinister Six, a team of villains brought together usually with the primary goal of taking Spider-Man out of the picture permanently. Every now and then though he gets a depiction as a solo villain that keeps the neighborhood web-slinger on his toes. So, who is Electro, what does he do, and why is he important to Spider-Man No Way Home's newest trailer? Electro was first introduced into the Spider-Man universe in The Amazing Spider-Man 9 comic, released in 1964. The original story behind the development of his powers comes from when a burst of lightning hit a power line that the former electrical engineer was repairing. This incident caused a mutation to occur in which he became a walking capacitor for electricity. He sported a look that only comic book characters in the 1960s could really pull off, a skin-tight green and yellow suit with a mask that had lightning bolts jutting out in every direction. Later incarnations have since resigned him to be a little more "with the times" but the green and yellow combination often still remains. His powers primarily include the ability to generate and discharge electricity. He can also absorb electricity from any equipment that uses it, and there have been varying degrees to how much electricity he can hold. This discharging of electricity makes him a deadly foe if his opponent is not prepared, but a properly insulated suit or drenching him in water usually ends with his defeat in the end. Image via Marvel Comics One of the villain's most recent appearances came from Marvel's Spider-Man for the PlayStation 4. In this game, he joins up with Octavious and the rest of the Sinister Six to defeat Spider-Man, an arc that has been done in other iterations of the Sinister Six as mentioned previously. In this version, Electro utilizes exoskeleton gear to help enhance his abilities as well. This was a new take on the villain that is used commonly within the more modern depictions of the character, but it wasn't the first time such an idea was implemented for him. Electro had another big appearance before his iteration on the PlayStation 4, and that was on the big screens in The Amazing Spider-Man 2, released in 2014. In this movie, Electro is played by Jamie Foxx, redesigned from the ground up. In this iteration, Electro gained his powers not from lightning hitting the power line, but from a tank of genetically-engineered electric eels that he fell into while repairing said power line. The most distinct change in this iteration is perhaps the choice to make Electro blue from head to toe. This change immediately separates him from other people, and it becomes impossible for him to blend in with the crowd. From that point on, he would be unable to hide his identity, and this only strengthened his feelings of being an outsider and a nobody. Electro also idolizes Spider-Man in this version, or at least he does until Spider-Man stops him from charging up in Times Square. Electro is temporarily captured and studied until Harry Osborn Dane Dehaan, another major character in the Spider-Man universe, helps him to break out of containment and gives Electro a suit to control his powers in exchange for his aid in infiltrating Oscorp, but he is once again stopped from taking New York City's electricity by Spider-Man with the help of Gwen Stacy Emma Stone. Image via Sony The 2014 movie iteration of Electro is perhaps the most important when it comes to the latest in the Tom Holland saga of Spider-Man movies. In the newest trailer for Spider-Man No Way Home, viewers can see multiple shots of Electro, once again played by Foxx. However, there is one critical difference the lightning he is shooting out is a bright yellow reminiscent of the other depictions of Electro. In addition, shots of Electro show that he doesn't look mutated, unlike the version we see in The Amazing Spider-Man 2. Instead, Electro takes on a more muted look and seems to be wearing a mechanical suit. So, what does this mean for the electricity-spewing villain? We already know that Spider-Man No Way Home has to deal with different universes. So, there is likely a chance that this Electro isn't necessarily from the same universe that contains Andrew Garfield's iteration of Spider-Man. Regardless of the answer, we see a lot of him in this trailer when compared to other villains like Sandman and The Lizard, meaning there's a good chance he has a larger role to play overall. Other scenes from the trailer depict Electro fighting Spider-Man one on one, and an audio clip of him saying "you're not gonna take this away from me" can also be heard. In one of the final scenes, viewers can see Electro amongst other Spider-Man villains such as the aforementioned Sandman and The Lizard. This goes on to confirm Electro's involvement in some sort of villain team, most likely the Sinister Six, though the exact composition and purpose of this alliance has yet to be confirmed. Audiences can only hope he is getting the redemption many wished he could have had after his portrayal seven years ago. We don't know exactly how much of a role Electro is going to play, but we do know he's looking refreshed and recharged for what is sure to be the biggest Spider-Man movie in the Tom Holland trilogy. Spider-Man No Way Home releases exclusively in theaters on December 17th, with tickets going on sale on November 29th.
